Karen Green found forgiveness, healing and a new life when she surrendered her life to Jesus Christ while incarcerated 23 years ago. In Christ, she found the liberty that set her free from the bondage of her past.

Karen’s biblical studies through Christ For The Nations and the Potter’s House School of Ministries prepared her and equipped her for the call God had on her life.

She founded The Haven of Love in December 1999 and dedicated her life to helping women understand, “The Hope that is found in the transforming, resurrection power of Jesus Christ.

Karen has traveled with International Prison Ministries and facilitates extensive programs in the Lew Sterrett County Jail here in Dallas, she also facilitates programs in various Transitional Homes, Recovery Centers and Juvenile Detention Facilities.

She was a founding leader with the Prostitute Diversion Initiative. PDI is a group collaboration between Dallas law enforcement, the judicial system, the Health and Human Services Department and other advocacy and support groups to help women get off the streets and repair their lives. Instead of treating prostitutes like criminals, they are offered a helping hand from the many agencies like Haven of Love that have the resources to support their freedom and recovery.
